We are focused on bringing you a unique experience in a historic barn serving beer, Brewed For You.

Our renovated dairy barn has fed generations of Ohioans since 1933. Today, realizing the community ownership of this amazing building, we have preserved its unique character and made it a warm inviting place to enjoy friends and great locally brewed craft beer!

Our Beer

Crafted with a wide variety of tastes in mind, you are sure to find
one (or two!) that hits the mark.

Guernsey Gold Cream Ale
ABV: 5.6% IBU: 14.9

Named in honor of Jim “The Milkman.”Guernsey Gold is a pale golden ale, with low hop and malt notes, however a sweet, corn-like aroma is present. A perfect clean, crisp ale for someone who is just getting into craft beers, or really appreciates a gold cream ale!  Easily drinkable and refreshing, with more character than traditional American lagers.

Berry Bomber Ale
ABV: 5.6% IBU: 15

What happens when you take our Guernsey Gold Cream Ale and infuse it with raspberry?

We call it Berry Bomber! All the clean, crisp notes of the Guernsey Gold Cream Ale with a slight tartness (not sourness) from raspberries. The Berry Bomber is a perfect ale for those who want a little ‘berry bomb’ with their beer!

9Gz India Pale Ale
ABV: 6.5% IBU: 63

Are you ready to “pull some Gz”? Aviators love to push themselves and their machines, our G-force line of beers will have you doing the same. Try this highly hopped ale with just the right amount of warm malty flavor meant to balance this unique combination of hops. By the time you get to “9 Gz” you’re a true Hop-Head!

Wooden Shoe Lager
ABV: 5.3% IBU: 17

A pale lager made with German malt and yeast that produces an easily drinkable and tasty beer!  We are honored to bring back a historic label first made in Minster, OH.

Ohio Sky Ale
ABV: 5.1% IBU: 19

Inspired by the blazing colors of Ohio sunsets. This is an American Hefeweizen infused with blood orange, just perfect for your evening.

Quent’s Irish Red Ale
ABV: 5.5% IBU: 25.0

This full bodied traditional Irish ale recipe is dedicated to Quentin Roosevelt, son of Teddy, who was the first commander of the 36th Fighter Squadron, Osan Air Base, Republic Of Korea. The same squadron the brewer commanded.   A toast to all those who defend our freedom, Harrumph! (Cheers!)

North 40 Lager
ABV: 5.1% IBU: 18.0

Latitude is measured in degrees above the equator. Tailspin sits 40 degrees north, giving our newest beer its name (just so you know how to navigate back!) This traditional Vienna lager is brewed using Munich, Pilsner and Vienna malts as well as yeast from the Bavarian village of Ettal giving you flavors of subtle hops, crisp, with a residual sweetness.

Hazy Horizon New England IPA
ABV: 6.4% IBU: 25.0

It’s back! Even if you don’t’ care for IPAs, you gotta try this one!  A new England IPA is known for its tropical fruit aroma and hazy appearance. This “juicy” beer is perfect for the summer!

Uncle Gus Milk Stout
ABV: 5.2% IBU: 28.9

During Prohibition Uncle Gus told us he was going to the barn to milk.  Turns out he was actually firing up the still out in the woods.  This dark, rich ale is full of roasted flavors and has a slightly sweet finish.  Cheers Gus!

Starfighter Italian Pilsner
ABV: 5.2% IBU: 25

Starfighter is a dry, balanced lager with a little extra hops on the nose. Sticking with our love of aviation, there are several fighters both the USA and Italy have flown…one is the F-104 Starfighter. It’s not the prettiest of airplanes, but super fast and smooth. (Just like how this drinkable beer will do down!)

g-LOC Doppelbock Blonde
ABV: 8.0% IBU: 21

The fan favorite g-LOC returns!

Doppelbock beers were originally brewed by monks who wanted something boozy to drink during Lent. Often described as ‘liquid bread’ doppelbocks, like g-LOC, are rich and malty, you should get notes of toasted bread and biscuits. Doppelbock beers are also known to have a slight presence of alcohol on the nose. At 8% the g-LOC hits all the right notes, and tastes delicious going down, get yours before it’s gone for the year!

A Little Bit About Our Story and Our Brewing Journey

Our story begins in Germany when an Air Force fighter pilot and nurse met each over a glass of local beer, of course! Luckily, we enjoyed a second assignment to Germany and the sampling continued. We observed firsthand how breweries often became an essential gathering place and how small towns eagerly supported “their” breweries.

Fast forward to today and we are excited to become one of these unique gathering places and bring craft beer home to Midwest Ohio. Tailspin Brewing Company is the perfect end to our Air Force story and the new beginning of our ‘retired’ life.
